About "Asako" Overview

The story is, to my surprise, a story of 2025!

August. On his way back to his hometown, Shoji Aoshima is riding the bullet train when he begins to recall hazy memories of his boyhood.

It is the summer of 1996, and Masashi is a fifth grader living in a country town facing the sea. He is a timid boy who is easily bullied, but one day he meets a mysterious and beautiful woman named Asako.

As Asako's bold behavior plays tricks on him, Masashi's inner self gradually becomes greatly disturbed...

This is how the story begins!
In my opinion, from the very first volume, I was gripped by the heart and the urge to see the rest of the story.

Asako" Author's Introduction

The manga artist of Asako is Morohe Yoshida.

Morohe Yoshida is a talented female manga artist from Japan. She was born in Kyoto, Japan and started her career as a manga artist in January 2004 after graduating from Osaka Communication Arts College.

Since her debut work, she has received editorial support from Square Enix and has produced a fascinating body of work.

Her best-known works include "Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha." Boku wa Sisachan no Toy" and "Hakubake no Hanamuko" continue to be loved by many readers.

Her delicate and heartwarming stories are the charm of her works.

Charm of "Asako" characters

The main character is Shoji Aoshima.
Asako" a.k.a. "Asa-nee" leaves Shoji with memories of his boyhood that seem like a dream.

In addition to Shoji and Asako, there are other important characters that surround them in this work, so I will focus on the ones I was interested in!

Shoji's sister Sayaka
Yuhkako, a female classmate who is a good friend of Shoji's
Female classmate Miki
Koichi, a senior whom my sister admires
Each of these characters adds their own color to the story and is deeply involved in the development of the protagonist Shoji and his relationships.

I was gutted to find out what happened to Asanee, and I was hooked on the reminiscences and meeting everyone decades later to find out what happened to them all.

What I find fascinating about "Asa-nee".

The secret behind Asako's beauty

The best thing about Asako is her charm. This is what it is all about.
I am also very curious about "what kind of feelings" she had for the 11-year-old boy, etc. What kind of childhood she had and why she came to the countryside where Shoji is located, etc.

There is an element of suspense as well as an age difference first love story!

Shoji's longing and love for Asako is also very cute, but from the middle to the latter half of the book, the suspense element becomes stronger, and you will feel the urge to read the book until the end anyway.

Beautiful characters and backgrounds.

In addition to the charm of the story and characters, the charm of Mr. Morohe Yoshida's drawings make this work a very worthwhile read.

Especially the bewitching of Asanee.
I am particularly attracted to her mysterious and strong seductive power that goes beyond mere external beauty and is somehow demonic.

Which publisher is it from?

Image of the publisher

The publisher was Akita Shoten and it was published in Young Champion Comics.

It will finally be completed on August 18, 2023, with the last issue, volume 7.

Ratings, reviews, and commentary on Asako!

We have summarized the good and bad ratings to give you an objective look at Asako!

The following is a brief summary of the most frequently viewed review systems on my part.

  • (5.0) It was just good. That's one word.
    Really good work.
  • (5.0) Age difference love & suspense
Not just a simple age difference romance, the end of each episode is ingeniously designed to pique interest in the next.

The mysterious and bewitching charm of the enigmatic beauty "Asako" is worth seeing for its own sake. This story will leave you wondering what the future holds for the two of them.
  • (4.0) Emphasis on duality
In this work, the character is portrayed as a "mysterious older sister," but the story occasionally weaves in the perspective of the grown-up protagonist to highlight the duality of the character, who appears fantastic in the eyes of a child, but is just a pretty face in the eyes of an adult.

The sexual element goes beyond mere service to the reader and is deeply related to the theme of the work, making it interesting and unpredictable in its development.
  • (3.0) The seduction is very great.
This story depicts the interaction between an elementary school child and his older sister from Tokyo. The older sister's devilish charm is so deceptive that the reader is easily fooled.

The development of the story is very interesting and the process of how the main character grows up is not to be missed.
  • (2.0) Even though they have just met again...
The story is very interesting and overall I am very satisfied with it.

However, the ending of the last story was not to my taste, and I felt a little sad. For the rest of the volumes, I enjoyed them all enough to give them 5 stars.
  • (1.0) Too bad it ended in a mess.
The story started out with a retro atmosphere, which was fascinating to read, but once we moved on to the contemporary scenes, the pace quickly picked up and I found it a bit difficult to read.

Overall, the ending was a bit anticlimactic.

I looked at various websites and found that very many people gave this piece a 5!

I would encourage you to read the free volume and finish it!

It became my favorite work that I will never forget.

Searching for the manga "Asako" in raw or zip is very dangerous!

Searching for the manga "Asako" in raw or zip is very dangerous

Many people search for keywords such as "Asako," "raw," or "zip" when trying to read manga on the Internet, but this is really dangerous.

Below I will write about the dangers and legal issues involved.

Danger of viruses and malware

Downloading cartoon files from unofficial sites carries a very high risk of infection with viruses and malware.

Many of these files are unauthorized scans of legitimate publications, and the sites that offer them have inadequate security measures.
Simply opening a downloaded file can install malicious software on your computer or smartphone, which can lead to identity theft or file corruption.

Piracy and Legal Risks

Downloading cartoons through "raw" or "zipped" files is almost always a violation of copyright laws.

Cartoons are creative works and their authors and publishers hold legally protected copyrights.

These copyrights prohibit the work from being copied or distributed without permission. Unauthorized downloading of cartoons violates the rights of the authors and deprives them of their income.

In addition, copyright infringement can result in criminal penalties and civil action, which may result in fines and lawsuits.

Ethical Considerations

Buying or viewing cartoons and other creative content through appropriate channels is an act of direct support for the creator.

Only through legitimate purchases can revenue be returned to the author or publisher, so don't do anything illegal.
If you do not support the creators, you may be in danger of losing your comic book business and one day not being able to read it.
