Overview of The Avenging Prostitute

The Avenging Prostitute begins
with the subtitle “Blood Revenge Beginning with the Slaughter of a Family,”
and, just as that title suggests, it opens with scenes from the protagonist’s girlhood, after her family is brutally murdered and she continues to suffer extremely cruel treatment.

At the age of nine, the protagonist Nono goes to work for the Oikami family, where she has been sent into service. She is subjected to various forms of discrimination, framed for stealing a wallet, and both Nono and her mother are sexually assaulted.

Later, there is a scene in which her mother and two younger sisters are said to have died in a family suicide, but this incident is also gradually cleared up later with the help of many people.

After the massacre of her family, Nono becomes a prostitute, but she also falls in love, meets trustworthy allies, and the story moves forward toward revenge.

I started reading this manga because I simply could not stop wondering what would happen next, and because I desperately wanted it to have a happy ending.
As of August 20, 2025, the series has not yet concluded, and the latest volume available is volume 9.

This work depicts the life of a woman who has no family left and walks through hell with revenge as her only reason to live. It is a powerful manga that makes you want to cheer for her with all your heart.

This is, above all, the appeal of The Avenging Prostitute. At first, Nono is treated so cruelly that some parts are painful to read, but she keeps moving forward with revenge for her mother and sisters.

I ended up buying it because I was so curious about what would happen next. As of May 18, 2024, the story had not yet reached its final chapter, so I could not wait for the next volume!

The future of Nono and Ryogo Ashizawa’s love

Nono is living a painful life, but she meets Ryogo, who does not discriminate against her because of her status or occupation.
The two gradually fall in love with each other and want to be together.

However, there are many hurdles between them, and the story continues in a way that makes me very curious about what will happen next!

Heartwarming words that support Nono

The story takes place in an environment where discrimination was strong, and many complicated characters appear. Even so, the characters who try to help Nono with passionate words, warm words, and supportive actions make this manga extremely moving.
