The Witch and the Mercenary is a manga adaptation of the light novel series published by Micro Magazine under the GC Novels label.

Zig and Siarsha originally stood on opposite sides because Zig was ordered to defeat the witch.
But as they understand each other’s circumstances, they begin walking toward the same goal. Moments where they entrust their lives to each other gradually turn hostility into a bond.

The continent is threatened by magical beasts once sealed away by mages. Wind scorpions, rock dragons and shadow snakes give the world a dangerous texture.
Ancient ruins, lost magic and mysterious relics add depth to the adventure.

Battle scenes full of tension

Earth rises from the ground, blades scatter sparks, and the action has strong visual power. Zig’s twin swords and Siarsha’s earth magic synchronize in high-pressure battles where one mistake could be fatal.
The fight against the shadow snake in the nighttime ruins is especially memorable.
